| Table
for Two
Following their recent
success with Deckchairs, Amanda Booth and Celia Williams have joined
forces again, this time with Table for Two, three plays for two
women, directed by Keith Harle.
Set against the common backdrop
of a restaurant or café, the evening’s menu begins
with David Campton’s Reserved in which a busy waitress is
confronted with the most awkward of customers at tea time. This
is followed with Early Blight by Jean McConnell where an elderly
woman’s guilty secret is accidentally stumbled upon by her
daughter over morning coffee. Rounding off the feast is En Attendant
François, again by David Campton, in which two friends are
out for dinner on a blind date and find their failure to speak French
and overall lack of ‘savoir faire’ leads to an unexpected
turn of events.
The performances open
on April 20th at 21.30 at Estrela Hall, Rua da Estrela 10, Lisbon
and continue until May 6th on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
