Shakespeare’s
TWELFTH NIGHT

November/December 2004

“If music be the food of love, play on…”

The new season opens with this scintillating and gender-bending romantic comedy of delusion, deception, love and power.

Orsino loves Olivia
But Olivia loves Cesario
Only Cesario is really Viola
And Viola loves Orsino

A pair of twins is shipwrecked off the coast of the imaginary Kingdom of Illyria. Shakespeare’s wonderful tale unravels the ensuing confusions with music, romance and lots of comedy.

The production is directed by Jonathan Weightman (responsible for acclaimed productions of The Importance of Being Earnest, The Cherry Orchard and The Dresser) and the cast includes both well-known faces and some very talented newcomers.
